“I would like to congratulate the new Board members and thank all the candidates who stood. A contested election shows how engaged and committed our members are, and I’m looking forward to working with the new Board from January,” said Frane Maroević, Director General of the ICA.
“I also want to pay a special tribute to our Chairman Etienne Couëlle, Board members Roberto Salgari, Heath Thomas and Thomas Hogenkamp, who decided not to run again and will step down when the new Board takes office in January. Each of them has given their time, experience and energy to the ICA, often far beyond what the role required, and helped shape the Association into what it is today. On a personal level, I value their advice, their support and their friendship. I’m glad we still have the next two months together around the Board table. On behalf of the whole ICA community, thank you.”
The ICA thanks all members who took part in the vote, in person or by proxy.
About the ICA
Our 36 members are behind the vast majority of the world’s banknotes and coins, as producers for central banks or as suppliers of equipment, substrates, inks, security features, and software.
They compete in the market but share an interest in a strong, innovative, and responsible industry.
Our mission is a balanced and secure payments landscape in which people are free to choose how they pay.
Cash, as the only fully sovereign means of payment, must keep its essential role alongside digital options. Through collaboration, research, and advocacy, we give our members a platform to shape that future.
